1st off, let me make things clear before we go any further. I will not vote for any candidate that used to be involved with Husni Mubarak’s regime… BUT…

But, please allow me to ask our parliament this question; I’d like to know what kind of democracy are they trying to implement in Egypt? Is it the democracy that goes along with our benefits only? is it the one that Mubarak used to implement? because the way I see it now there is absolutely no difference between the current parliament laws and the ones that used to be made by the old regime “law tailors” like Fathy Seror,etc…

The Parliament is to bear the consequences of delaying the legislation of the Political Isolation law, and for the majority to bear their mistake when they decided to be fooled by the SCAF and vote YES for the constitution amendments.

What’s happening now is by all means not constitutional and is against any international mores and should not be approved. Moreover; it will open hell against the elected president in terms of how legit and how constitutional his election is.

I’m not against the law itself, I’m against inventing it right now to be used against a certain person; Although I know they have extended it to include not only the president but also the VP and a bunch of other positions.

People needs no guardianship from anyone. If they choose to vote for Omar Suleiman then by all means that’s their choice.

My concern regarding this law is if the majority are able to make unconstitutional laws now, what if they won the presidential elections too? what will stop them from creating other unconstitutional laws to benefit their party later on? will we be able to stop them? keeping in mind that THEY have the majority of the parliament so whatever they vote for will always be applied.

Moreover, to all the Members of the Parliament, have you all lost your faith in the Egyptian people? if so,why? and if you think that Omar Suleiman might win, then this shows only one thing, that the majority of the people did not support this revolution.. IS THIS WHAT YOU’RE TRYING TO SAY?? if not, then you shouldn’t be scarred of any candidate no matter who he is.

Have a little bit of faith in the people who voted for you and for the liberty of this country (unless you falsely won the parliament seats and the people did not really vote for you?)

The Supreme Constitutional Court will judge this case today, I hope they disapprove this law so we can prove to the whole world that we are able to choose our president freely and that the Egyptian people are aware and smart enough to choose a candidate that doesn’t belong to the old regime.

The real danger is, what if the SCAF did not approve this legislation? this will lead us to only god knows what!! and this time it will be the people against the Army not just the SCAF… seriously the parliament then should ask themselves .. what good are they for?

What I’m trying to say that we The Egyptian people need no guardianship from anyone, please don’t make us look as if we’re weak or stupid!

Just my $0.2 regarding the political isolation law in Egypt
