Organize Calendar

Organizing your calender is very important if you want to be successful in your business, specially if you’re like me; work with a lot of clients and have a lot of meetings daily.

This is how I keep track of all my meeting points / tasks and sync them with my next meetings or future meetings

Requirements:

  • Mobile with Android OS (Mine is HTC Desire HD)
  • Google Account
  • Outlook 2010
  • Evernote Account + Application
  • Google Calendar Sync

1- Mobile with Android OS

HTC – Motorola – Samsung – Google Nexus all these mobiles uses Android OS

2- Google Account:

Just visit Google Accounts and create your own email if you don’t already have one.

Once you have an account set-up you will be able to use your Calendar. You can either create your events / meetings from your mobile or online from Google Calendar  they both will synchronize automatically.

3- Outlook 2010:

Everyone knows Microsoft’s Outlook no need to explain it i guess.

4- Evernote:

In my opinion this is the best solution for taking notes and synchronizing them online with your mobile/web-app.

Goto Evernote.com create an account then download the software for your platform, then go to you Android Marketplace and download the Evernote app. Now you have Evernote on both PC and Mobile. you can access your Notes either from your PC, Mobile or online from Evernote website.

NOTE: Outlook MUST be installed before EverNote, because EverNote adds an add-in to Outlook that would allow you to create notes from emails.

5- Google Calendar Sync:

Goto Google Calendar Sync  download it, enter your Gmail account information, select 2-Way sync as this will sync your Outlook with Gmail, set sync interval in minutes, that’s it!

Now after setting all this up you will have something like this.

On Google calendar:

Google Calendar

And your Outlook will look the same :)

Outlook Calendar

That should be it, you’re synchronized!
